January - What's for Dinner?
In January, the South Bend Foodies headed to Eddie's Steak Shed in Granger, IN, for their monthly eat-up. We started with buffalo wings, GIANT fried mushrooms, and some sort of flaming cheese appetizers on the house. I have srsly never seen a fried mushroom so large, and after a while, I started eating the flaming cheese thing (I can't find it on their online menu) without bread...just cheese...in my hand...to my mouth. Yum!
I ordered the filet mignon, medium. The first iteration was cooked a little more than I had expected, but the cook sent out another steak that was cooked perfectly. Considering that we were a party of at least 20, the staff did a great job taking care of us. Here's a couple photos:
(1) Fried mushroom. No, that is not the tiniest fork ever.
(2) Steak and potatoes. It's a man's world.
