When I was a senior in high school, I decided to drop AP Calculus. I had taken the prerequisite first semester, pre-calculus, but by January, I'd had enough. I wanted to study advertising in college, and well, when was I ever going to need calculus? I enjoyed spending afternoons in the library creating the school website, working on long-term art projects or designing ads for the yearbook; I had no interest in limits or derivatives.
