Quick and Dirty

Wow--what a summer, so far!

• Brandon's little sister Melanie graduated at the end of May (TN roadtrip!)
• Brandon, Kevin, and I went to see Michael Franti around the first week of June (MI roadtrip!)
• I hung out in South Bend for two weeks to participate in the Sarah Tomlinson School of Yoga intensive teacher training at Dhanwantari Yoga during the middle of June.
• I got my nose pierced!
• Brandon and I drove to Milwaukee on July 2nd to see the Counting Crows on the 3rd, and we drove to Louisville on the 4th to see Michael Franti again (WI and KY roadtrips!)...back to Indiana on the 5th.
• We drove to TN on July 8th for my uncle's funeral (TN roadtrip.)
• I laid ~1200 bricks for our new patio this week in preparation for Brandon's birthday party this weekend.
• …and I'm driving to Savannah River National Lab this weekend for an actinide short course (SC/GA roadtrip!)

I've put 20,000+ miles on my car since my Southeast Coast roadtrip last summer. At 120,000+ miles, I'm starting to feel the 'I want a new car' itch. Unfortunately, with two large trips coming up (Budapest in August, Hawaii in December), I'll have to wait.
